Michael Moore FCA, Partner

Michael has been with Larkings since 1970 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1977. He became a Partner in 1986 and Managing Partner of the Practice in 2000. Michael has been the Partner responsible for audits at our Canterbury office for the last 17 years, and Audit Compliance Partner for the Practice for 8 years. He has been an integral part of developing Larkings’ specialisation in the not-for-profit sector, as well as providing an advisory and/or trustee role to a number of Charities.
Richard Kreffer FCCA, Partner

Richard rejoined Larkings in 1996, having qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant with his previous firm in 1991. He was appointed a Partner in 2002 based in Canterbury. Richard has had extensive experience in dealing with all sizes of audits but also deals with a number of charities. Prior to becoming a Partner, Richard chaired the firm’s Audit Technical Committee and is currently Staff Partner at the Canterbury Office.
Jennifer Sherwood ACA, Partner

Jennie joined Larkings in 1998 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in early 2004. During Jennie’s time at Larkings, she has gained experience in preparing and auditing accounts of a variety of limited Companies and Charities. In 2009, Jennie became a Partner at the Canterbury office and continues to expand her knowledge in respect of all areas relating to her portfolio.
Maidstone office
Geoff Smith FCA AMAE, Partner

Geoff has been a partner for over 30 years based in the Maidstone office, and has dealt with compliance and planning issues for a wide range of businesses from large commercial companies through to sole traders. He now spends increasing amounts of his time dealing with high net worth clients, professional businesses and regulatory matters, and litigation support assignments, including giving evidence in court. He has throughout his professional career held office in members, voluntary, charitable and not-for-profit organisations, and still advises many today.

Colin has been a Partner of Larkings since 1986 based in the Maidstone office. He advises a wide range of businesses and high net worth clients. Colin also has extensive experience of all Charity matters both in his capacity as trustee to a number of Charities as well as providing an advisory role to a significant number of Charity clients.

James joined Larkings in 1997 and trained as a Chartered Accountant, being admitted to membership in 2003. James became a Partner in 2009 and he is experienced in the specialist fields of Charities, Regulated businesses and Doctors alongside various other mainstream audit, accountancy and tax work.
Ashford office
Andrew Childs ACA, Director

Andy joined Larkings in 1996 as a trainee and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2002. Having worked in the Maidstone office for 12 years, Andy transferred to the Ashford office and was appointed as a director in 2008. Throughout his career Andy has dealt with a number of charitable organisations and now provides audit services, independent examinations, advisory and support services to a diverse range of not-for-profit clients, including registered charities and livery companies. Andy also deals with other commercial and professional businesses providing audit, accountancy, taxation and advisory services.
